The Light Fantastic by Sarah Combs

Rating: 5 Stars

Release Date: September 13th 2016

Poetically written, tangled in harsh but understandable thoughts, narrated in different minds and feelings, is The Light Fantastic by Sarah Combs. This book was stunning and fantastic, but I wouldn't have been able to read this masterpiece if it wasn't for Candlewick Press, thanks for sending me this ARC, and sending me on my way to help others.

The Light Fantastic, is about seven different people, and their train of thoughts during a day of tragedy. There is a plan afloat; soon to happen across the country, and to change the way these characters think. This book jumps right into the depths of the mastermind, and the students on the other side of the gun.

This story features the neglected, the shallow hearts, and the destroyed souls.

Sarah delivers a rich concept of the every day thoughts, and fears of this generation, she shows and does not tell, she has written this book that has taken a path of dismay.

This is the type of book that keeps you up all night, wondering the fate of the characters, and it should alarm the sense in all of us, that any day could be our last and that everyday is the moment to begin living.

"Everywhere, no matter where you go, there is sky, proof that things keep going. Wide blue skies, cups of coffee with just little bit of cream, midnight movies, songs threaded through with heartache- these things might be small, Phoebe thinks, but they are the things worth living for." — Sarah Combs
